Sonnets of Faith Review

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. If you like sonnets, which are a type of poetry that contains 14 lines each, then you’ll like this book. Well…Unless you don’t like the Bible. The number 14 in the Bible represents deliverance or salvation and is used 22 times in the Bible. The quote below is taken from the email I received about this book. I like poetry, and when I saw the word, ‘sonnets’, I thought of Shakespeare. But upon checking out this book, I was pleasantly surprised. The sonnets are beautiful as well as thought provoking. And the art work? Beautiful!
“Cherished Bible passages from the King James Version set the stage as you witness the Scriptures come to life in a new dimension through the lyrics and rhythms of sonnets. The vivid and specially-commissioned work, of award-winning artist Dan Burr, resonates with the sonnets, adding his full-color vision to this unique collection. Whether you spend a few minutes or a few hours, you'll come away enriched, guided, and more secure in the Lord's unfailing love for you.”
I have the Kindle edition, and I found it a little hard to read because there are no settings available, so you can’t enlarge the font. I realize that changing the font would totally place the layout out of balance. The book is artistically pleasing. I like the layout, the art work and the sonnets. The author put a lot of thought into this book. I should have chosen a print version, as it would make a beautiful edition to place on a coffee table or other favorite place where you read a lot. This is definitely a conversation piece.
I would recommend this book to others.
